Blepharoplasty, commonly known as eyelid surgery or 'Blephy', is a highly effective procedure designed to rejuvenate the eye area by removing excess skin and reducing puffiness around the upper or lower eyelids. As we age, the delicate tissues around the eyes naturally lose elasticity, causing drooping upper eyelids, under-eye bags, and a tired appearance that may not reflect how you feel.
At Krevive Medical Clinic, we perform eyelid surgery with precision and attention to natural-looking results. Our aim is never to dramatically alter your appearance, but to restore a fresher, more rested look.
For some patients, excess upper eyelid skin can extend beyond a cosmetic concern and begin to affect peripheral vision, making everyday activities such as reading or driving more difficult. Blepharoplasty can help improve both appearance and function, providing a brighter, more open eye area and increased comfort.
Every patient is different, which is why your treatment begins with a detailed consultation and anatomical assessment. We carefully evaluate skin quality, muscle tone, fat distribution, facial symmetry and your aesthetic goals before creating a personalised treatment plan.
Following a detailed consultation, surgery is usually carried out under local anaesthetic. For upper eyelid surgery, a small incision is placed within the natural eyelid crease to remove excess skin and, where necessary, adjust underlying tissue. For lower eyelid surgery, incisions are carefully positioned beneath the lash line or inside the eyelid to reduce puffiness and improve contour.
Incisions are hidden within natural folds wherever possible, helping minimise visible scarring.
Most patients experience mild swelling and bruising during the first one to two weeks following treatment.
